Had a wonderful time at the museum last Sunday….looking at all of the information about the CCC and enjoying the bluegrass players. I loved the history of the school and the CCC. My Grandad was a Supervised the shingles at Camp Hardy\u2026I have pictures of him and I have his boots he wore\u2026He lost 3 fingers at the sawmill..I can send you a copy of his letter of recommendation from Jennings Randolph and an autographed picture of Randolph..Grandads name was Paul Funkhouser. I wish I would have known about a program like the CCC when I quit school in 1998. I may have been better off in my life if given the opportunity to work, learn ,and grow. I love the woods. I didn’t even know about CCC program until a couple months ago. I went on a hike through a T.V.A. park in Muscle Shoals Alabama stumbled upon some interesting things in the woods and started doing some research . I found that the things I had stumbled upon were built by the guys in a CCC Park, I had no idea what that meant so I started doing research on that and it finally brought me here . It’s an absolute blessing ,I would like to thank everybody in your organization for all the time hard work and effort they put into a museum to honor the hard work of our ancestors and the unity it provided for a county during a difficult time, that’s really awesome!!<\/p>\n <\/td>\r\n <\/tr>\r\n
