Hello, My dad was at the CCC Camp at Keith, WV in 1933. I have an old photo album of his and am wondering if the museum would be interested in any photos of the camp. Around 1965, he and my mom drove me to that location so I could see where the camp was and so I could see where they met–at the white church in Orgas, WV during a Sunday service. He was 19, my mom was 16. They lost touch, she originally married someone else and was widowed in 1941, and she contacted his mother in Morgantown. He was in the Army and came to see her near Gauley Bridge, WV while on leave during WWII, and they married soon after.

I’m an officer in the Pendleton County Historical Society and am interested in having a program on the CCC. There were 3 camps in the County. Some time ago I saw a newspaper account of a program presented to a group in Lost River, Hardy County. Is there some group that will travel and present a program on the history of CCC in West Virginia? We haven’t found local folks who know much about it. I would appreciate any guidance on the matter.

I recently learned that my Father may have worked in a CCC camp. He married my Mother in 1940 when he was 46 years old, and she was 21.

My father was in Montrose, CO in 1938 and 1941. I have a picture of the 1938 Camp Texhoma Co. 3843. I need to find out just how much time he was in the CCC and really need to see a list of names from the 1938 service because he was not yet 17.
Guess I should write to the NARA for records.
